Easy Bolognese (5 Ingredients)
Super easy and healthy bolognese for your baby led weaner *6 months+ (when baby is showing all readiness signs to start baby led weaning) and the family. No added stocks or salts or sugars. Only 5 ingredients and can whip up within 20 minutes.
Ingredients
- 500 grams of organic pork mince
- 1 large red onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 large carrot
- 500 grams of organic passata (no sugars no salts)
- *1 tablespoon Oregano (*or any other dried or fresh herb you may have i.e. basil, rosemary or oregano usually work well with bolognese)
Directions
- Step 1 Firstly chop up onion, garlic and carrot.
- Step 2 On a stove top in a large pan pour two big glugs of olive oil, add onions and garlic. Once onions are soft add carrots and mince meat. Combine all, break up mince meat and cook until no longer red, then add herbs and passata and combine all.
- Step 3 Leave to simmer with lid on for *10 minutes. (*if leaving longer put the heat to a low heat and simmer for up to an hour if you wanted to)
- Step 4 Serve with pasta, spaghetti or zoodles.
