BLW Sticky Porridge
Mine and hers... sticky blueberry, chia porridge for Ava and cold super bowl (oats, blueberries and chia) for mummy! A quick under 5min breakfast. I started offering this to Ava from 6mo. and she still loves it! Easy to pick up for babyledweaners and not that messy for mum/dad to clean up as its gluggy!
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup of quick oats
- 1/2 cup of full fat cows milk
- 1 teaspoon of chia seeds
- A handful of blueberries
Directions
- Step 1 In a pot on the stove: add quick oats and milk on medium heat for approx 1 minute. Then add chia seeds and blueberries.
- Step 2 Keep stirring ingredients until you have a thick, gluggy consistency. Serve warm!
- Step 3 Left overs you can pop into a container and place into the fridge for bub’s snack tomorrow.
Hello Rachael,
I would like to try out your sticky porridge recipe for my 10-month old daughter. Do you let your baby eat it with her hands or do you preload the spoon?
Thanks.
Both is ok. I would personally start with baby using hands to learn about textures and control then move to the pre-loaded spoon. It will get a little messy just serve a little bit at a time and let baby enjoy having fun! X
